Today i am going to talk about tanks. As we all know, tanks are mostly heavy vehicles with heavy armour and are designed specially for front-line combat. They have immense firepower, usually coming from a rotating turret on top of the tank. As they are tracked vehicles, they can travel through almost any terrain.

Tanks are developed and first used by Britain in World War I. It was designed to counter trench warfare -- Big size to easily move over trenches and heavy bulk to destroy enemy defences like barbed wires. Tanks are then further improved and are now a major part of the modern armies, along with anti-tank weaponry.

Tanks today are a mix of advanced technology and armour. There are many variations of tanks designed for different purposes. These tanks are mostly rated based on their firepower, mobility and survivability. Tanks with high mobility and firepower are used for sneaking up on the enemy, while tanks with high survivability are normally used as front-liners.
